Our Journey

We started with a single step…we are still going forward today…

We started operations as Trans Ocean Agency in 1976 as a dry cargo broker. This was our first step.

Going forward with conviction as our compass, we evolved swiftly and in the early 1980’s we were soon actively involved in fixing ships of some of the most reputed ship owners in India. They were The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd, Mercator Limited, The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd, Dempo Steamships Ltd, Chowgule Shipping, Century Shipping, Scindia Steam Navigation Company Ltd, Larsen and Toubro, Damodar Bulk Carriers Ltd and others.

This exposure helped us to expand our service offering and in the 1990’s we began our Tanker Chartering Service and since then we have been regularly fixing Indian/Non-Indian flag ships to oil majors, oil traders and operators, National Oil Companies. We were amongst the leading ship providers of VLCC’s, Suezmax, Aframax to prestigious Indian Government owned oil refiners, IOC, BPCL, HPCL, and MRPL.

We were also contracted and fixed ships to TRANSCHART (Ministry of Road & Surface Transport, Government of India) for Import of Grain, Fertilizers, Rock phosphate, Sulphur. We have successfully fixed ships of all sizes to Reliance Petro Chemical.

During last 10 years have transacted about 500 business deals in Tankers and Dry Cargo segments, in addition to at least 100 long period charters ranging from 1 to 5 years.

We also have the rare distinction of fixing the very first ULCC that touched Indian shores!

We have been involved in shipment of Coal on COA basis with Indian Coal Importers. We also handled a major volume of steel pipe exports for Welspun Corporation and provided a Period Charter of Panamax Bulk carrier with Arcelormittal.
